The spike in food prices in 2007-2008 caught many countries unprepared. As a result there were serious food riots in several capitals. There is a realization that the quality of the information base, international trade rules and funding mechanism to provide for such emergencies were inadequate to deal with such situations. Various international initiatives are now underway to address these inadequacies.
We are able to assist in understanding these new initiatives. We also advise developing countries on ways and means for reaching new export markets, and how they can improve the lives of their producers and consumers.
Furthermore, given the impact of agriculture on environment, new sources of funding have been made available for climate change adaptation measures. For example, the Green Climate Fund has raised US$30 billion for encouraging developing countries to take immediate action on climate change. Many developing countries are not aware as to how to tap these funds for climate change adaptation measures.
With our expertise in agricultural issues, financial capital raising and working with international organizations, we can assist potential client with these efforts.
